Overview: Kudoboard allows you to create a collaborative online memorial that resembles a vibrant and respectful Pinterest board, which can be easily shared with friends and family. Plus, you can download and print a high-resolution version of the board — or have them print and ship you a poster for a fee — which can be displayed at a funeral or memorial service to honor the deceased.

Mem
Overview: The only way you can get a memorial on Mem.com, which stands for Making Everlasting Memories, is if you go through an SCI-owned funeral home. We included it because it's one of the larger memorial websites and offers all the features you would expect.

Memorial Source allows users to create a modern, elegant memorial page that can easily be shared with friends and family. All memorial pages include an unlimited amount of text to tell your loved one's story, a photo gallery, a memory wall where others can leave messages and photos, and a section for listing memorial service details. Memories.net is one of the largest providers of online memorials and obituaries. They have a clean and simple design (check out an example here), which allows users to upload photos and videos, share life stories and select from a library of quotes. In addition people can customise the page background, control privacy and create a timeline of life events. To share the memorial page with family and friends, and allow them to contribute, you have to upgrade to the paid version.

Murial's memorial website is elegant and clean, with a modern minimalist approach. The design breaks down your loved one’s life into a chapter-by-chapter like storytelling (example: a premium feature named Highlight), which is a natural way for how to remember a loved one. Other features include theme colors and privacy control; premium features include music, video. customized URL, and more.

Never Gone
Overview: Never Gone feels much warmer and welcoming than many of the other sites. Created by a web developer who lost his grandmother and didn't like any of the other memorial offerings, the site itself now stands as a memorial to her. The basic functionality includes photos, stories, guest book, tributes, virtual candles, and a number of personalization options and backgrounds. While not elaborate, it's well designed and best of all, free.

Remembered
Overview: Remembered has some very good features, including a lot of space to include stories, up to 100 compressed photos for the albums, a Facebook login and easy sharing. The overall design tends to be less inviting than some of the other offerings and there are no templates available. It feels more like a social network than a memorial site.
