To avoid poor Link taking flame damage while exploring Death Mountain and other areas of Eldin, we know of two ways to become fireproof in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom: Equip fireproof armor. Use elixirs with fire resistance.

Using armor to become fireproof

The Flamebreaker Armor, which you can buy from Goron City, will provide you with flame guard, though you only need one piece to make it through these scorching areas. The prices for the pieces are as follows: Flamebreaker Helm: 1,400 rupees. Flamebreaker Armor: 700 rupees.

Where to Get the Flamebreaker Armor Set in TotK. Rather than embarking on a series of different side quests to get your hands on the Flamebreaker Armor in ToTK, you can simply purchase it at the Armor Shop in Goron City.

One of the best ways to increase Link's Fire Resistance in Tears of the Kingdom is to make a Fireproof Elixir. This can be done by selecting a monster part, and up to four Smotherwing Butterflies or Fireproof Lizards. The more insects they add to the recipe, the greater the elixir's Fire Resistance will be.
