DIY Minecraft Creeper Shirt for 100 Days of School
100 days into the school year! I’m sure you’ve been seeing the posts everywhere on social media. Lots of kids dressed up as 100-year-olds! Another popular way for kindergartners to commemorate this special day is with a shirt that displays 100 items. Most kids request a theme and my little guy said his shirt needed to reflect his favorite video game. So this DIY Minecraft Creeper shirt idea was exactly what he wanted. Look for your own easy DIY shirts? Read on to get all the details and the free SVG file!
I love helping my kids to create their own unique shirts for the 100th day of school. A couple of years ago my daughter and I created a rainbow shirt for her big 100th day because at that time she was all about rainbows and Wizard of Oz. It turned out perfect and she loved it. This time around the I went with a similar concept for the Minecraft shirt, only used green pom poms instead of fingerprints!
When is the 100th day of school?
For most schools across the country the 100th day of school will be sometime between the end of January and middle of February. This is of course depending on when school starts.

100 Days of Creepin’ Shirt
We have several Minecraft gamers at our house. Our kindergartner in particular is a major Minecraft fan so I shouldn’t have been too surprised when he said that he wanted a Minecraft 100th day shirt.

Free Printables
This Creeper face image for cutting on a vinyl cutter is much like the other free printables that I offer you on the blog, but in this case its a file that you “print” and cut out at the same time!
Get the SVG file for cutting on your own craft cutter HERE.
Creating A DIY Minecraft Creeper Shirt
What you’ll need:
- 100 green pom poms
- iron on vinyl
- blank short sleeve t-shirt
- fabric glue (or if you perfer hot glue, but I wouldn’t recommend for kids to use)
What you’ll do to make the shirt:
- Save the free SVG file HERE and upload it into your vinyl cutter software. (Or you could aways print it off and then use it as a template to draw directly onto the shirt.
- Cut the image in a Silhouette, Cricut or other type of craft cutter that uses SVG files and then secure to the shirt with an iron or heat press.
Get a heat press:
- Place a piece of cardboard (inside) between the front and back of the shirt. This will help to prevent the glue from going through to the backside.
- Use glue to apply the green pom poms.
- You can use heavy books to help add weight and press down on the pom poms while it dries.
I knew those expensive college psychology textbooks would come in handy sometime!
- Let dry over night.
DIY Minecraft Creeper Shirt
In retrospect I would have purchased the smaller pom poms AND if you follow me on Instagram then you know that I might have only 90 pom poms. Mom math problems. Ha!
